HUNTINGTON BEACH — Guard Keith Walker set a school single-game scoring record with 50 points Friday in Brea-Olinda High School’s 84-70 victory over Loyola in the Tournament of Champions at Ocean View.
Walker made 12 of 27 shots and 17 of 19 free throws to break the school mark of 45 points he shared with his older brother, Kevin, a senior at UCLA.
Walker’s point total was two points shy of the tournament single-game record of 52 points set by former Mater Dei star Tom Lewis against Banning in 1983.
