Abdul the Role Model
If Paula Abdul is a role model for pop superstars in the ‘90s (“Dancing Her Way Up the Charts,” Dec. 10), come the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve I think I’ll become a jazz buff.
Sure, she has the charm of a cheerleader and I might well be impressed if I saw her dancing at some L.A. nightspot, but to write about her in the same section in which genuinely talented pop musicians are mentioned is a great disservice to all.
Please, if you must write about Abdul, put her in the dance section. Or maybe in sports, under “Laker Notes.”
