Powerless Pyramid?

Aesthetic arguments aside, the new glass pyramid entry to the Louvre is one of the world’s all-time stupid designs. The Louvre has always had miserable access with four inadequate entries, and you had to stand in line interminably--a lovely experience on rainy days.
Under the pyramid there are many ticket windows and lots of room for lines, but now you have to wait in line forever outside the pyramid to get in.
There is another entrance with one ticket window, well hidden inside the door, on the inside of the wing along the Seine, near the end just in from the Avenue du General Lemonnier.
