Playtime (Bravo Saturday at 5 p.m., again at midnight): This 1968 Jacques Tati film envisions a dehumanizing steel-and-glass modern world yet is singularly affirmative in Tati’s bemused belief that mankind will cope anyway. (2:00)
The Bride Wore Black (A&E; Saturday at 1 a.m.): Francois Truffaut’s beautiful 1968 film from the William Irish (Cornell Woolrich) novel is not an emulation of Hitchcock but an homage to him. Jeanne Moreau is the ravaged, vengeful heroine. (2:30)
