A San Fernando Valley woman was killed while returning home from Las Vegas when the car she and her husband were in went out of control and rolled over, the Nevada Highway Patrol reported Tuesday.
Marialaina Alley, 30, of Sun Valley was thrown from the car in the accident, which occurred at 5:30 p.m. Monday on Interstate 15, about 10 miles from the California border, NHP spokeswoman Mary Coyne said.
The victim’s husband, LeRoy Alley, 43, who was driving the auto southwest from Las Vegas toward Los Angeles, suffered serious injuries and was being treated at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Coyne said.
The accident is under investigation. Coyne said the Alleys’ car drifted off the road, overturned and rolled several times.
