Gov. Mofford’s Condition Called Stable After Surgery

PHOENIX — Gov. Rose Mofford was reported to be in stable condition Tuesday after surgery the day before to remove her gallbladder. Her surgeon said there is an “excellent chance” that the 67-year-old Democrat will be back on her feet in time to give her State of the State address on Jan. 8.
