Kentucky Wins Shootout From Long Range

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky tied an NCAA record with 19 three-point baskets and guard Sean Woods hit seven of eight shots in scoring 16 points in a 104-73 victory Tuesday night over Furman.
Kentucky (4-2) attempted 47 three-point shots, topping its mark of 41 against Tennessee Tech on Dec. 6.
Furman (3-5) made six of 20 from three-point range as both teams combined for an NCAA-record 67 attempts to better the mark of 57 by Kansas and Kentucky on Dec. 9.
Junior Braddy’s long jump shot with 14 seconds left tied the three-point mark, held by Valparaiso and St. Francis (Pa.).
