COMMUNITY COLLEGE BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Lockard Leads Saddleback Past Southwestern

Charles Lockard scored 22 points to lead Saddleback College to a 75-69 victory over Southwestern in a men’s nonconference basketball game Tuesday at Chula Vista.
Sean Keyes added 17 and Greg Reynolds had 11 off the bench for Saddleback (4-8). Lesean London had five points and nine assists for Saddleback. Southwestern is 1-11.
In nonconference women’s basketball:
Golden West 82, Bakersfield 50--Donna Gondringer scored 15 points and Claudette Jackson had 13 to lead host Golden West (16-0). Cossette Smith and Dawn Haag had 10 points for Golden West, which led at the half, 45-29.
Southwestern 74, Rancho Santiago 62--Casey Klaser had 23 points for 11 rebounds for visiting Southwestern (4-4). Barbara Olson scored 21 points and Charisse Simon had 20 points and 15 rebounds for Rancho Santiago (3-8). Southwestern led, 39-23, at the half.
