COSTA MESA — Two passengers were hospitalized Saturday after the driver of their car ran a red light and collided with another car on Paularino Avenue at the Costa Mesa Freeway, police said.
The driver, a 17-year-old Orange resident whose name was not released by police, was traveling northbound when he failed to stop for a red light at Paularino Avenue and hit a vehicle driven by Bryan Warmack, 38, of Anaheim, who was traveling eastbound, said Costa Mesa Police Sgt. Matt Collett.
The two drivers were not injured, Collett said. But two passengers in the youth’s car--Cay Dang, 45, and Bui Loc Nguyen, 70, both of Orange--were reported in stable condition in the intensive care unit of Western Medical Center-Santa Ana Saturday evening.
