Rebel Rockets Kill 8 in Afghan Capital

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Afghan rebels unleashed fierce rocket barrages on Kabul on Tuesday, killing eight people and wounding six, the official Kabul radio said.
The broadcast, monitored in Islamabad, said the rebels fired 30 U.S.-made missiles into residential areas.
Government forces killed 30 rebels in a counterattack, it said.
