Upjohn to Take $200-Million Charge: The Kalamazoo, Mich., pharmaceuticals concern will record a one-time $200-million charge against earnings in the fourth quarter of 1989 in connection with its restructuring plan. Upjohn expects to record a number of one-time charges with the phasing out of operations at its New Haven, Conn., chemical plant, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. Charges relating to the New Haven plant will account for about 65% of the total charge, the company said.
