Winds Blamed for Sixth Delay in Titan 3 Liftoff

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — Blustery cold weather and high upper-level winds forced Martin Marietta Corp. to postpone its first commercial rocket launching for a sixth time.
Wednesday’s scheduled launching of the Titan 3, with British and Japanese communications satellites aboard, was rescheduled Tuesday to 4:05 p.m. today, Martin Marietta spokesman Robert V. Gordon said.
