Judge Dismisses American Continental Claims: A federal court judge dismissed American Continental Corp.’s allegations that regulators damaged its Lincoln Savings & Loan subsidiary by leaking confidential information about the Irvine-based thrift. U.S. District Judge Richard Bilby ruled that any court order enjoining a federal agency from disclosing information is unenforceable against the agency when the information is disclosed by individual agency employees. Bilby also refused a request by American Continental to declare that one of the agency’s supervisory personnel involved in the Lincoln examination was biased.
