Law Firms Join Forces: Two of Southern California’s oldest law firms specializing in patent law and intellectual property law have combined forces.
The Orange County firm of Gausewitz, Carr & Rothenberg has merged with the Los Angeles firm of Poms, Smith, Lande & Rose.
The newly merged firm, which uses the Poms, Smith name, will have 30 attorneys, including four in the Gausewitz, Carr office in Orange.
Poms, Smith, founded in 1935, specializes in intellectual property matters and represents a number of companies in the high-technology and biotechnology industries.
Gausewitz, Carr, founded in 1962, specializes in patent law and has represented a number of electronics and and biotechnology companies.
