SHORT TAKES : Madonna Seeks Males for Tour

Madonna is preparing for a world concert tour and the pop music star needs a few good men, especially unbridled savage types.

Open auditions, known in the industry as a cattle call, were announced in advertisements placed in Daily Variety by choreographer Karole Armitage. Three days of tryouts began today.

The ad reads: “Open audition for fierce male dancers who know the meaning of troop style, beat boy and vogue. Wimps and Wanna-Bes need not apply!”
