Super May led wire to wire for his first win in a year in the $42,000 daily feature Thursday at Santa Anita.
Super May, ridden by Robbie Davis, built his advantage over the 1 1/8 miles on the turf, finishing three lengths in front. His winning time was 1 minute 46 seconds.
Super Ready, far back and four wide entering the stretch, closed strongly for second, finishing a half-length ahead of Broke The Mold.
Super May earned $23,100, increasing his earnings to $89,685. He returned $11, $5.20 and $4.40.
Super Ready, the 4-1 second choice under Pat Valenzuela, paid $5.20 and $4.60. Broke The Mold, a 7-1 choice ridden by Martin Pedroza, paid $6.
Curio, the 3-2 favorite in the field of 10, finished sixth.
