Typeface Program Protected: Computer software producer Adobe Systems Inc. says it has received what it believes to be the first U.S. copyright registration for a computer typeface program. Mountain View, Calif.-based Adobe said the U.S. Copyright Office had registered its ITC Garamond font computer program, a series of commands that describe the shape of individual characters.
