Trailer Maker to Shutter Fresno Plant: Fruehauf Trailer Operation, deep in debt since fighting off a 1986 hostile takeover attempt by corporate raider Asher B. Edelman, said it will close its Fresno plant July 7. The shutdown will leave about 150 employees, who rejected another wage cut, out of work.
