She Paints Hard for the Money: Donna Summer has joined the growing ranks of musicians entering the art world. A one-woman exhibit of Summer’s paintings, drawings and original lithographs is being featured this month at the Circle Gallery in Beverly Hills. Summer, a self-taught artist who’s been painting for 15 years, said her art is inspired by her observations of the people she comes in contact with through her music. The singer’s hits include “She Works Hard for the Money,” “Last Dance,” “This Time I Know It’s for Real,” “Bad Girls” and “MacArthur Park.” The show has already been exhibited in San Diego and Bal Harbour, Fla.
