Huntington Beach’s Armijo on Irvine Card

John Armijo of Huntington Beach will make his main-event debut tonight at the Irvine Marriott.
Armijo (9-0-1), a middleweight who also works as a lifeguard in Huntington Beach, takes on Robert Jackson of Los Angeles in a six-round rematch of a fight last July. Armijo won by decision over Jackson (6-10).
The first of six bouts is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale in the hotel ballroom at 10 a.m.
