James C. Furnivall has joined the Newport Beach offices of 3i Capital Corp. as vice president. He was formerly treasurer and vice president of acquisitions and divestitures for Atari Corp. Before that, Furnivall was vice president in the corporate finance department of PaineWebber Inc. 3i Capital, a U.S. operating subsidiary of 3i Group PLC, invests in companies seeking capital for acquisitions, share repurchases or leveraged buyouts.
