San Diego’s Seaside Volleyball Club won nine consecutive matches before losing in the winner’s bracket final to Torrance in the U.S. Volleyball Assn. Junior Olympics in Albuquerque.
Seaside, made up of area high school stars, won the first game and was tied late in the second before falling, 9-15, 15-13, 15-9, in 2 1/2 hours. Seaside will play the winner of the loser’s bracket today for the right to play Torrance in today’s final.
