Dow Jones & Co.: The publishing and communications company reported that second-quarter income plunged 28% to $34.9 million, although revenue rose 0.9% to $442 million. The New York-based company, which publishes the Wall Street Journal, said earnings were down partly because of increased interest and other expenses related to the acquisition of Telerate.
