BOY TOY: Is there any magazine that hasn’t put rock’s ultimate comeback kid, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, on its cover this year? The list grows shorter next month when a scantily clad Tyler graces the cover of . . . Playgirl magazine. The issue, which hits the stands Aug. 14, named Tyler as one of rock’s top 10 sex symbols. . . . Rob Grave, bassist for Thelonious Monster and a founding member of L.A. bands 45 Grave and the Bags, died of a heroin overdose in New York June 28. His friends from former bands and members of the Nymphs and the Gun Club will perform a benefit wake for Grave Aug. 12 at the Whisky. Proceeds will go to Grave’s family and various anti-drug organizations.
