Searching for American Heroes

Sometimes in our commercial world, heroes are made with public relations hype.
I’m age 66 and had been having difficulties being aware of who a hero could be in this acclaim. Well, a true hero is Soviet helicopter pilot Anatoly Grishchenko who knowingly accepted his flights into the nuclear radiation dangers of the Chernobyl atomic power disaster. (He died of leukemia in a Seattle hospital on July 3.) His efforts truly establish a genuine hero status without PR hype.
We’re all on this earth to help and serve each other and Anatoly Grishchenko and his helicopter provides the ultimate example of “love thy neighbor.”
