New Teacher for the Class: British comedian Billy Connolly will be the new head of the class in the ABC series “Head of the Class.” Warner Bros. Television, the show’s producer, announced Tuesday that Connolly will star as the history teacher as the show goes into production Aug. 2 for the fall season. Connolly plays an exchange teacher from Scotland as he replaces the Charlie Moore character played by Howard Hesseman in the class for gifted students. The series also stars Robin Givens, Khrystyne Haje and others.
