John C. Katovich has been appointed senior vice president and director of legal affairs at the Pacific Stock Exchange in San Francisco. Carin Townsend has been named vice president and administrative officer. Katovich, 36, had been vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. He will continue to serve as general counsel. Townsend, 31, has been executive assistant to the chairman since joining the exchange in 1988.
