Resorts International Inc.: The Atlantic City, N.J.-based hotel and casino operator said it earned $803,000 in the second quarter, contrasted with a loss of $27.9 million in the quarter a year ago. Revenue was flat at $109 million. The company said a key reason for the improvement was the fact that interest payments on its debt were suspended while it tries to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
