A San Diego woman is in fair condition at UCSD Medical Center after the car she was riding in struck a guardrail and plummeted down an embankment at the intersection of Sea World Drive and Ingraham Street about 2:20 a.m. Saturday.
Lisa Braddell, 29, suffered injuries to her pelvis, back and arm, said San Diego Police Sgt. Chuck Peck.
The driver of the vehicle, Steven Dorfman, 32, suffered minor injuries, he said.
The vehicle was driving more than 80 m.p.h. west on Sea World Dr. when it veered into the eastbound lanes, crashed into a guardrail and went over the embankment, Peck said.
Dorfman was expected to be held in connection with the crash, he said.
