Siemens Solar Plans Vancouver, Wash., Plant

Siemens Solar Industries, a Camarillo-based maker of solar-power products, said it plans to build a new production facility in Vancouver, Wash.
The plant will create about 100 jobs in Vancouver and increase the company’s manufacturing capacity by 50%, said Siemens Solar, a U.S. unit of Siemens AG of West Germany that employs about 500 people in Camarillo.
The company’s products provide power for a variety of industrial uses such as telecommunications, and for remote houses and recreational sites.
