Tustin — Investigators this afternoon plan to review daily financial receipts from the Super Shops automotive parts store here to determine whether robbery was in fact the motive behind a Sunday attack that left three young employees fatally shot at close range.
“It’s looking more and more like a robbery,” Lt. Houston Williams of the Tustin Police Department, said this morning. Investigators on Monday at first found nothing missing from the store, but later an employee directed them to a component of a safe that had been overlooked. The day’s cash may have been there.
