OTTAWA — Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney will visit President Bush at his Maine retreat Monday and Tuesday to discuss the Persian Gulf crisis and other issues, his office announced today.
Mulroney will be accompanied by his wife, Mila, and children as well as at least one aide, but the trip will be mainly a working visit, a spokesman for the prime minister’s office said.
Canada is sending two warships and a supply ship to the Persian Gulf, and Mulroney has strongly supported Bush’s stand against Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
