The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office decided that allegations against three USC freshman football players involving sexual battery are not felony offenses.
The case was referred to the city attorney, said Bruce Campbell, head of the county’s Child Abuse/Sex Crimes unit.
The city attorney’s office must determine whether allegations by a 22-year-old USC student warrant misdemeanor charges. No timetable has been established on when or if charges will be filed against Michael Jones of Panorama City, Willie McGinest of Long Beach and Jason Oliver of Bakersfield.
