A stretch of Ocean Beach was reopened Tuesday after having been closed since Friday because of a sewage spill.
The beaches from Mission Bay Channel to just south of the Ocean Beach Pier opened up about 11:30 a.m., said Lt. Charles Wright of the San Diego City Lifeguards.
The spill occurred when a pipe carrying sludge from the Point Loma sewage-treatment plant to drying ponds on Fiesta Island burst.
