Muti to Conduct in Vienna: The Vienna Philharmonic has invited Italian maestro Riccardo Muti, musical director at the La Scala opera house, to conduct major concerts in 1992. Orchestra president Werner Resel said Monday that Muti will conduct the ensemble on its 150-year celebration and in the traditional New Year’s concert on Jan. 1, 1993.
