FERC Approves Natural Gas Contracts: Kern River Gas Transmission Co. said the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has approved its contracts with natural gas shippers who have made final commitments to ship gas on Kern’s proposed $750-million Wyoming-to-California pipeline system. As a result, Kern River has ordered steel to begin construction of the 760-mile pipeline, with the first deliveries scheduled for next month.
