It’s Hard for One Fan to Swallow Strawberry Becoming a Dodger
- Share via
Why did the melon-heads in L.A. want this fruitcake from the Big Apple? Strawberry is no peach. He’s a real lemon, full of sour grapes, and fans will end up giving him the raspberry.
Fred Claire is a tomato-head if he thinks Strawberry can become a raisin in the sun. The Dodgers should have realized that life is no bowl of cherries and pear down their free agents while squeezing the most out of their present players. Let the youngsters ripen, then blend them in carefully with the veterans before they go bad.
We’re plum tired of watching the Dodgers dole out big bucks to spoiled players while not seeding the farm system and allowing it to bear fruit. We want the Dodgers to produce.
As my papaya used to say: One Strawberry does not a fruit salad make.
