Glendale 35, Hoover 6--The Dynamiters finished their first undefeated season since 1962 as Hector Maya scored 28 second-quarter points on runs of four, 16 and four yards, and a 47-yard interception return as the half ended.

Glendale tailback Pathon Rucker extended his state-best touchdown total to 30 with a three-yard run late in the third quarter. He has 1,736 rushing yards this season, a Glendale record.

Hoover’s points came on a pair of field goals by David Bronner from 40 and 36 yards.
