THE LAST WORD? November’s Washington Journalism Review appraises the Nixon Library and finds that “the museum’s consistent target for criticism is the press.” . . . The article quotes videotaped statements by Nixon that are played for museum visitors, such as: “I hold no personal grudges. I was once asked if I hated the press. You only hate people you respect.” . . . Nixon believes the press hounded him from office, but his “final triumph” is that “right here in his own museum, Nixon can do what he wants with the press.”
