Investors Increase Stake in Ventura Entertainment

An investor group led by Equimax Resources said it raised its stake in Ventura Entertainment Group Ltd. from 7.6% to 9.66% of the North Hollywood company’s stock.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the group, which also includes Networth Partners L.P., a New York partnership controlled by Equimax, said it bought an additional 161,000 shares of Ventura, a producer of movies and television shows.
The group bought the stock between Oct. 4 and Oct. 19 for between $7.62 and $9.75 a share, and it now owns 753,560 shares of the company.
