Bradbury : Financial Health Excellent

The city is in excellent financial health, according to an audit report delivered to the City Council last week.
Revenue from city services and other sources exceeded expenditures by $124,269 during the fiscal year that ended June 30, said the report, which was prepared by the auditing firm of McGladrey & Pullen.
Bradbury has no gas stations, markets or other kinds of business establishments--and so virtually no sales tax revenue. But various licensing fees--including permits to film motion pictures and television shows in the city--brought in $65,495, far more than anticipated, said Christie Nash, who delivered the report for McGladrey & Pullen.
With total revenues of $426,073, the city entered the new fiscal year showing a balance of $935,835, the report said.
