The Milwaukee Brewers signed Candy Maldonado, 30, Willie Randolph 36, and Rick Dempsey, 41, all of whom impressed after being invited to camp without contracts.
Maldonado will start the season in left field, Randolph will platoon at second base with Jim Gantner and Dempsey will back up catcher B.J. Surhoff.
