Agoura’s Thatcher, Buena’s Henry to Play Softball for Fresno State

Agoura High’s Melissa Thatcher and Buena’s Jennifer Henry have each signed a letter of intent to play softball for Fresno State.
Thatcher, who is batting .262 this season, also was recruited by Texas A&M;, Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Northridge. As a pitcher, Thatcher has compiled a 67-21 record since making the varsity team as a freshman. She has an 0.46 earned-run average this season.
Thatcher is expected to play either first or third base in college.
Henry, who was recruited as an outfielder, will rejoin former Buena teammate Kim Maher, who is batting .288 with three home runs in her first year at Fresno State (40-5).
