MISSION VIEJO : Residents Named to Civic Center Panel

Seeking community input on a proposed civic center complex, the City Council has appointed several citizens to committees charged with researching the project’s feasibility.
The council added Steven Baker, Virginia Cankar and W. W. (Tex) Shannon to the Civic Center Project Committee.
Joining the project’s Economic Development Commission will be Frank Cankar, Gardner Hussey, Ted Shown and former planning commissioners Marianne Ye and Ben Meharg.
City officials plan to build the civic center complex on a 7-acre site near Crown Valley Parkway and Interstate 5.
