HUNTINGTON BEACH : Genealogy Seminar for Latinos April 27

The Society of Hispanic Historical and Ancestral Research and the group Buscando Nuestras Raices will host an all-day family genealogy seminar this month at Golden West College.
Guest speakers will include John Leal of the Bexar County Archives in San Antonio, Tex.; Lyman Platt, a professional genealogist, and Pauline Chavez-Bent, a New Mexico Catholic Church records researcher.
The seminar will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 27. Registration, payable at the door, is $15 for society members and $20 for non-members. For more information, call (714) 586-2151.
