Bradley’s Trip

Mayor Tom Bradley claims that his current trip to the Far East is essential because tourism has been down in Los Angeles since the Gulf War. I think tourism is down because word has gotten around that Los Angeles is not a safe place to visit.
Instead of traveling to points distant, as he so frequently does, he ought to stay home and work more closely with the Police Department so that gang activities could be halted and the crime rate reduced, find a way to clean the city of graffiti and deal with the serious problems of pollution, corruption and all the many other ailments that plague Los Angeles.
What we need is a working mayor for Los Angeles.
