Eric Bieniemy, Colorado football star drafted Sunday by the San Diego Chargers, said Monday he knew nothing about an arrest warrant for speeding, driving on a suspended license and failing to appear in court.
Kathy Shouten, clerk of the Garfield County Court in Rifle, Colo., said Bieniemy can avoid arrest “if he contacts us and sets up a court appearance.”
According to court records, Bieniemy, 21, was stopped March 21 near Rifle on Interstate 70 after driving 92 m.p.h. in a 65 zone.
