SHOOTING : Tamas Wins Second Gold Medal

CHINO — Thomas Tamas won the smallbore three-position event Monday to earn his second gold medal of the U.S. International Shooting Championships.
Tamas, of Fort Benning, Ga., scored 2,420.4 points of a possible 2,509.9. Earlier in the competition, he won the free rifle prone event.
Bob Foth of Colorado Springs, Colo., was second in the smallbore three-position with 2,415.9 points.
Ann-Marie Pfiffner of Dubuque, Iowa, fired 886.4 out of 909.9 to win the women’s air rifle event. Elizabeth Bourland of Wichita Falls, Tex., was second at 885.8.
