*** Seal, “Seal,” Sire. On his debut, this young Brit goes gunning for Terence Trent D’Arby and hits his target with winning results, especially on the single, “Crazy.” More focus (though less ambition) than D’Arby, combined with neo-’70s Soul II Soul sensibilities and uncharacteristic restraint from usually over-the-top producer Trevor Horn make for a very promising introduction.
