When I glanced at the front-page color photo (July 16), I couldn’t help but say “Why, that’s old Cornelius, the Pierre Hotel’s doorman in full regalia!”
What a disappointment it was to discover it wasn’t Cornelius, but some British field marshal greeting Bush and his entourage. I still can’t believe a real soldier dresses that way.
